Abstract:
The extract of Rosa soulieana fruit has various biological activities. In order to provide a scientific foundation for its proper development, further study on the chemical constituents was carried out. By normal and reversed phase silica gel column chromatography combined with preparative HPLC, seven triterpenoids were isolated from the methanol extract of R. soulieana fruit and identified as pomolic acid (1), 1β,3β,19α-trihydroxy-2-oxo-urs-12-en-28-oic acid (2), ursolic acid (3), 1α,2α,3β,19α-tetrahydroxy-urs-12-en-28-oic acid (4), maslinic acid (5), kaji-ichigoside F1 (6) and euscaphic acid (7), on the basis of spectroscopic analysis. Among them, compounds 1-6 were isolated from this plant for the first time.
