Abstract:
Studies of interspecific association are helpful to explore the relationship between community and environment, and the interspecific relationship within the community. They can also provide theoretical bases for defining community dynamic development. This research compared the interspecific association between the Pinus tabulaeformis communities in the Baotian Expressway and those in the road of Xiaolong Mountain National Natural Reserve based on investigation results of seven indexes including multi species variance ratio (VR), χ2-test, Pearson correlation coefficient, Spearman rank correlation coefficient and correlation measure (OI index, AC value, and point correlation coefficient). The results showed a general significant negative correlation in the P. tabulaeformis communities in the expressway but a general significant positive correlation in those in the reserve. The stability of P. tabulaeformis communities was higher in the reserve than in the expressway. Results of the χ2 test, Pearson correlation coefficient and Spearman rank correlation coefficient showed a mostly negative correlation of the major species and associated species in the expressway and the reserve. The communities in different habitats require various environment. The correlation measure test showed that the positive association degree of the P. tabulaeformis communities in the expressway was lower than that in the reserve and the negative association degree was higher than that in the reserve. Multiple species were characterized by independent distribution. According to the different interspecific association of the P. tabulaeformis in the road area and the reserve, the main species in the road and the reserve areas were classified into three ecological groups: the positively correlated ecological group, the negatively correlated ecological group and independent ecological group. Compared with the reserve, the road area had more species of the independent ecological communities, indicating the differences of the ecological harmony between the community members. The results showed that the relationships between species of P. tabulaeformis communities are loose, multi-independent species pair; the community environment is not coordinated, interspecific collocation is not stable in the road ecological zone.
