Abstract:
Detection of the Haynaldia chromosomes in telosomic addition and translocation lines of commonwheat, Triticum acstivum L., was undertaken using genomic fluorescent in situ hybridization(GFISH) and Cbanding techniques.The results indicated that the added chromosome originated from H.villosa.Analysis ofCbanding showed the alien telosomic chromosome was probably 6Vs or 7Vs of H.villosa.This chromosome carriedthe powerdery mildew resistant gene and high protein content genes, which could be isolated, cloned and utilizedusing micromanipulation technique The result from GFISH revealed that the translocated chromosome 6VS/6ALhad been transferred into the cultivated variety"Chuanyu 12".Simultaneously, it was observed that thehomologous chromosomes arranged adjacently and not randomly in cells.
