Abstract:
Under the strictly anaerobic conditions, the quantities of anaerobic cellulolytic bacteria from serial samples obtained from a vertical section of the Yinqiong Basin were measured with the MPN method.The relationship between bacterial quantities and some indexes were compared.The result show that the anaerobic cellulolytic bacteria present in all the samples.The distribution of the bacteria has no correlation with the depth of the sediment and contents of some organic matters in the samples, but has significant correlation with the methane production of unit organisms in the samples.The bacteria are morphologjcally rod and coccus.
